Tutorial to make 2 types of fake teeth using hot glue
This is probably one of the easiest ways to make pretty realistic teeth using a hot glue gun and a few other easy to find materials. I’ve added two different ways to make the teeth below. Watch the video for really good visual instructions and to see how cool they turned out!
Video is here:
Squeeze 1 inch strips of hot glue onto the non stick pad. Do as many strips as the number of teeth you need. Let the glue harden and cool down for a few minutes.
Carefully peel the strips off the silicone pad and cut one end off in a straight line. The pointy end will be the tooth root and the straight end will be the biting edge.
Using the bone nail polish paint the teeth, front and back. Let dry.
Using brown acrylic paint, paint the teeth lightly and then immediately wipe of the paint. This will make the teeth all stained and creepy.
You are done…now go mount them on something!
In a small box or container put some air dry clay and push until flat.
Using either end of the cuticle pusher tool, make indentations into the clay in the shape of the teeth you want. Make a few in different shapes. Let the mold dry according to the clay instructions. I let mine dry overnight.
Squeeze hot glue into the indentations trying to fill them completely, but not overflowing them. Let the glue cool down and harden for a few minutes.
Carefully remove the teeth. Using scissors, trim the edges from any glue that may have over filled the molds. Also, wipe the teeth clean from any clay residue.
Go straight to step 3 of the first method to finish your teeth…they you’re done!
